Interior angles 2
Click and drag the name of the interior angle to the correct spot on the tangranimals. Choose between obtuse, acute, reflex and right angles. When you are finished, use the ‘Mark’ button to see if you are right.
Discussion points
- What is an obtuse angle?
- What is an acute angle?
- What is a reflex angle?
- What is a right angle?
Teaching tips:
Read the guidance containing the information on the types of angles. After this, children could use rulers, coloured felts or crayons and plain paper to draw multiple, colourful, straight lines over and across the page (think noughts and crosses but in all directions!). Give children time to explore and talk about the angles that they have created. Can they spot any of the angles discussed in the guidance?
Follow this by looking at ‘Exterior angles’ or test the children’s knowledge of obtuse, acute and right angles using the ‘Shapes, lines and angles quiz - [age78]' and selecting the ‘piece of pizza’ round.
