World War 2 food and rationing - Advanced
Rationing means controlling the amount of certain foods, clothes and other things like petrol that people can buy. For example, each person was only allowed one egg per week.
During the Second World War rationing started in 1940 and lasted for many years after the war finished. Rationing happened because Nazi Germany tried to stop food being imported into Britain.
Use the picture and text tools to write about the ration efforts in WW2 and how it affected families.
