Advanced sound seek
Look at the grapheme on the monster's board.
Click on, or tap, the boxes and listen to the phonemes (sounds) they contain. Use the green button to flag the box with the phoneme that the grapheme could make.
If you’re wrong, the monster will give you a clue by showing a word featuring the target grapheme-phoneme-correspondence (GPC).
Use the 'Alternative phoneme settings' button to choose which GPCs to focus on.
Teaching tips:
Use this advanced version of ‘Sound seek’ to support children to identify alternative phonemes.
Try ‘Sound sling’ for further practice on identifying alternative phonemes.
