Listen to the letter sound. Draw the letter as quickly as you can on the left-hand pane of glass. The object below it serves as a reminder of the sound you are drawing.
Try to complete the letter before Dog draws it on the right-hand pane of glass. Compare your letter with Dog’s to see how well you did. Click the tick for a reward or the cross as appropriate.
Use 'Letters and their sounds settings' to select which letters come up. You can also choose between pre-cursive and cursive and individual letter forms in 'Setup's phonics settings'
N.B. This activity is best suited to young children when used on a whiteboard or tablet.
Teaching tips:
Younger year groups could move onto this activity from mark making with ‘Squeaky clean’ or pair with ‘Messy letters’ for further GPC writing practice.
