Read the caption
Read the caption at the top of the screen. Drag the correct objects to the correct place in order to match the caption.
In the teacher bar, use 'Further activities settings' to select a bank of captions from the ‘Captions and word structure’ section.
For pupils who find it difficult to drag with a mouse you can turn the ‘sticky pointer’ function on in ‘Setup’s phonics settings’.
You can also choose between pre-cursive and cursive and individual letter forms in 'Setup's phonics settings'.
Teaching tips:
Children could be given a picture alongside a simple sentence which has been cut up. They could try using the picture to make the sentence that fits it.
Children could write their own simple sentences, using capital letters and full stop, and cut them up for a partner to read and place in the correct order. They could then draw a picture to match the sentence.
