Feed the monster (Introduction)
Listen to the word the monster is sounding out. Select the object he is asking for and he will eat it. Click or tap the monster to hear the word again.
In Activity settings you can alter the way the monster speaks.
Teaching tips:
There are two versions of the Feed the Monster game. This version has a setting which allows children to hear the word being segmented and then blended. To have control over which GPCs are used, use ‘Feed the monster’ instead.
Follow with ‘Sound bites’ for children to move onto choosing the written word which is being segmented, rather than an object.
